The removals team at Kitson’s Transport are experts at removing heavy and awkward items from both indoor and outdoor locations! One of the most recent heavy items requiring removal was several very heavy garden stones and garden stone furniture that need to be moved from a garden in Wilmslow all the way to Leicester. This transition from the North West to the East Midlands required careful planning, as garden stone furniture is not only incredibly heavy but also fragile and prone to cracking if not handled with professional-grade care and balanced weight distribution.lmslow all the way to Leicester.
Very few, if any, other removal companies take on this type of job due to the lack of training and equipment available to them for transporting such heavy items from domestic customers. Most standard removal teams are equipped for household furniture like sofas and wardrobes, but they lack the specialist knowledge required to navigate heavy, abrasive stone across garden terrain without damaging the lawn or the stone itself.
Our removals team are fully equipped with specialised heavy-duty removal trolleys designed to safely move the stones across the garden to the custom-made Luton van. This equipment allows us to navigate narrow garden paths and uneven surfaces that would be impossible to manage by hand. Once at the vehicle, our team utilizes a van fitted with a 500kg tail lift, which is ideal for lifting the heavy stones onto the van with minimal effort and maximum safety. By using mechanical assistance rather than manual lifting, we eliminate the risk of injury and ensure that your heavy garden features, whether they are ornamental boulders or solid stone benches, arrive at their new destination in the exact same condition they left.
